Microsoft Security Copilot is a platform that combines human knowledge and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help security teams and administrators react to attacks more quickly and efficiently. Because Security Copilot is integrated into Microsoft Entra, complicated tasks can be finished swiftly, identities evaluation and accessing can be done via AI-driven intelligence, etc. Copilot in Microsoft Entra (Copilot) obtains information from sign-in logs, audit logs, users, groups, and other Microsoft Entra data. 

In natural language, sign-ins and potentially dangerous users can be investigated to obtain contextualized insights on how to handle problems and safeguard accounts. Copilot, which is based on real-time machine learning, can help in troubleshooting more quickly, create identity workflows, and identify gaps in access policies. In order to save time and money, administrators of all levels can also learn new skills that enable them to perform intricate tasks like incident investigation, sign-in log analysis, and more. 

Security copilot Integration in Microsoft Entra

One of the Microsoft plugins that makes it possible for the Security Copilot platform to produce precise and pertinent data is Microsoft Entra. The Security Copilot portal can produce more accurate results and give incidents more context by using the Microsoft Entra plugin.

  • Create Security Copilot prompts in the Microsoft Entra Admin Center (preview)- Create your own prompts with Security Copilot, which is a component of the Microsoft Entra admin center. Security Copilot can be launched from a button in the menu bar that is accessible worldwide. To begin, type your own prompt in the prompt bar or select from a series of starter prompts that show up at the top of the Security Copilot window. After a response, suggested prompts, i.e. predefined prompts chosen by Security Copilot based on the previous response, may also show up. 

  • Summarize a User's Risk Level- Microsoft Entra ID Protection uses security features. Copilot will provide a summary of a user's risk level, pertinent information about the current incident, and suggestions for quick mitigation. Investigating identity risks is an essential part of defending a company. By giving IT administrators and Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts the appropriate context to look into and address identity risk and identity-based incidents, Copilot shortens the time to resolution. Administrators and responders can quickly access the most important information in context to support their investigation with the help of risky user summarization. 

Provide Feedback

AI and machine learning are used by Copilot in Microsoft Entra to process data and produce answers for each of the main features. AI may, however, misunderstand some data, which occasionally results in inconsistent answers. Over time, your comments on the generated responses help Copilot and Microsoft Entra become more accurate.
